POWERPLAY: ZUCKER SAID TO GET NBC NEWS, ENTERTAINMENT

**World Exclusive**

The question swirling on Broadcast Row Friday morning was: Does NBC's Jeff Zucker get a full-Moonves or a half-Moonves?

The current President of Entertainment at NBC will soon be granted expanded powers, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Jeff Zucker will soon rule over NBC's News Division, in an unprecedented expansion of powers at the peacock.

[Sources say Zucker will not be over the network's Sports Division. No Full-Moonves.]

With the exit of NBC's Andy Lack to head SONY RECORDS [Lack is said to have picked up Billboard magazine for the first time this week], a chain of events has been set in to motion at NBC, insiders tell DRUDGE.

GENERAL ELECTRIC Chairman Jeff Immelt is said to be behind the dynamic Zucker trajectory.

Zucker will add the network's news interests, including TODAY show [Zucker's old haunt], CNBC and MSNBC, to his network responsibilities.

And Zucker is a media powerplayer with political bent.

"Being a senator would interest me," he recently told the NEW YORK TIMES. Liz Smith reported that Zucker expressed an interest in being the White House spokesman, if Al Gore had been elected president.
