MORE And, with President Bush declaring the end of major hostilities in the war with Iraq, the momentum to resolve differences over the bill (HR 1664) quickly is dissipating. A Senate Finance aide said, "We're in a pickle." Sens. Max Baucus, D-Mont., and John McCain, R-Ariz., "both object to the bill, according to their aides, and neither appears ready to compromise.
