 MAYBE, MAYBE NOT: Gov. Ventura Says He Hasn't Decided Whether He'll Run Again Thu Mar 28 2002 11:11:53 ET Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura says he's not sure whether he'll run for office again. Ventura was asked on FOX NEWS CHANNEL's OREILLY FACTOR whether he will run for reelection. "I haven't made that decision yet. . You know, I don't have to decide until July. And I spend the least amount of money in America to get elected. I don't have to worry about campaign finance reform because I don't take special interest money or spend a lot anyway. So I'm clean." Asked if he aspires to higher office, Ventura said, "Well, I don't want to go to a higher office. There's enough troubles, you know, dealing with the state of Minnesota. This is challenging enough. And besides, you've got to pick your time as a third party candidate. And it's very difficult to run against an incumbent." END |
