LOS ANGELES TIMES: 'NO NOTICEABLE STAINS ON DRESS'
The DRUDGE REPORT has learned that Friday's LA TIMES will report: "One
source familiar with the dress said it is doubtful it would produce any DNA
markings that could be traced to another person. 'The importance of the
dress is probably exaggerated,' the source said. 'There are no noticeable
stains on it.'"
The NEW YORK TIMES is set to report in its bulldog edition that answering
machine tapes containing messages to Ms. Lewinsky from the president "were
innocuous, according to a lawyer who has heard them.
The paper reports: "In one, just before Christmas last year, the president
told Ms. Lewinsky that the brother of his private secretary, Betty Currie,
had died. In another, the lawyer said, Clinton said, 'Hey, it's me. Sorry I
Syndicated columnist Tony Snow, it has been learned, is preparing a column
exploring alleged threats made to Linda Tripp -- threats that are said to be
at the center of grand jury action. "We will destroy you," one senior White
House staffer warned Tripp, according to the report. Developing...
